What you will do:
Responsible for managing and leading pre-FEED and FEED projects by interfacing with client, engineering team, internal organization and subcontractors in order to ensure the project is executed and the deliverables are met in line with the agreed contract requirements and the technical integrity of the project is achieved from design to installation.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates in close cooperation to line manager an efficient project organization within budget and project planning, with an emphasis on coordinating a successful project team.
- Coordinate, motivate and support project team with the instructions provided, able to independently lead a (sub)project.
- Outlines working methods, execution methods and execution techniques, including auxiliary structures and construction site design.
- Upon handover, assesses the relevant technical part of the contract, defines the scope of supply and fix deliverables.
- Deep understanding of the technical and non-technical part of the contract
- Achieves the commercial and operational objectives assigned to him. Is responsible for the contractual and financial affairs (including cashflow) of the
- Approves the deliverables list related to the scope of supply
- Overall management of projects, including the contractual interfaces between the Clients.
- Ensures the technical integrity of the project and debottlenecks by engaging the Subject Matter Experts in critical design milestones.
- Organizes and coordinates the interdisciplinary design review rounds.
- Coordinates all engineering documents fulfilling the project scope and actively inform project management on cost and planning driven alternative solutions.
- Is responsible for outsourcing works and/or services, renting equipment, and also for purchasing materials in collaboration with purchasing and/or work preparation.
- Maintains contact with (potential) clients, partners and knowledge institutions and ensures an effective network.
- Identifies contract scope changes
- Informs Project Management Head in the event of any changes.
- Identifies the contract risks.
- Approves project planning.
- Recognizes and assesses changes and progress and takes corrective actions.
- Approves the engineering documents.
- Assesses expenses and estimates.
- Manages engineering budget versus actual, assesses expenses and estimates.
- Closes out the project

Level of education / experience:
- Master or bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.8+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the Renewable, Refinery, Petrochemical and/or Chemical Industries.
- Leadership skills in Project Management with proven ability to successfully deliver complex multi-office projects from the feasibility study to FEED studies.
- Senior professional with strong personal drive and credibility with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and co-ordination skills (both verbal and written).
- Willing to travel on international assignments. ( short trips).
- Excellent spoken and written English language skills
- Experience in multidisciplinary complex pre-FEED and FEED projects
- Experience with complex phasing, national impact, various stakeholders
- VCA-VOL is a plus
