What you’ll do:

As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing project execution plans, updating reporting dashboards and project management processes in our multi-disciplinary and international team. You will drive project execution according to agreed costs, schedules and deliverables with the support of the lead engineer who ensures technical integrity and other support disciplines like procurement. You will liaise with all engineering disciplines, lead engineers and most importantly the client.

As a Project Engineer, you will:

  • Execute and review project scope, deliverables, cost and schedules
  • Work in multi-disciplinary teams to execute projects, sometimes site work will be required
  • Manage communication with client, internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide assistance to project manager
  • Gather all required data and update project dashboards for Proton Ventures on a monthly basis
  • Report to project manager

Your tasks will include:

  • Develop project execution plans with lead engineer of project
  • Develop project schedules with input from lead engineer and client
  • Drive schedule and cost adherence with stakeholders and escalate concern areas to project manager
  • Arrange milestone reviews according to deliverables
  • Update project progress against deliverables
  • Arrange project alignment meetings as needed
  • Update of project dashboards monthly, with inputs from all stakeholders
  • Keep project deviation lists and client agreements up to date
  • Identify long lead items with engineering team and procurement department
  • Identify critical path for project execution with project team as support

Your education/work experience:

  • HBO qualification, BSc degree preferred
  • Experienced in project execution (design, construction, commissioning) and management
  • Interest in renewable energy and energy transition
  • Able to organize and prioritize your workload
  • Able to drive others (peers) to meet schedule and cost as agreed
  • Experience in start-up & commissioning is a plus

Other requirements:

  • Knowledge of international standards applicable to the chemical and processing industry, such as API, ISO, ASME, IEC, PGS, etc. is a plus
  • Ability to speak and write in English at a professional level

Remarks:

  • Appointment to the next seniority level is decided by management and not automatically relating to the years of experience or employment
  • Initial employment is based on maximum of two consecutive fixed term contracts
  • After a maximum of two years and based on proper functioning, the employee is eligible to a permanent contract (without a defined fixed term), however per the discretion of the management
